In regards to the size, hard drives and storage is so cheap nowadays, the size shouldn't matter. No, and it's highly unverylikely that the database will be changed to accomodate something that big, the recent stargate skin at 6mb was pushing it and I had to beg and scrape to get that done Regards size etc, yah, storage space is plentiful and cheap, I don't think that's the case, a lot of people would question an application skin that's 6 times bigger than the application it's running on, a lot of people don't really care for huge dazzling animations, they get old really quickly. Look at it this way, when you download a porn flick off the net, it's ok to watch and beat your man stick off to a couple of times, but you don't wanna watch the same old same old every time you wanna jerk off Same with skins, wow, the animations take your breath away and you think 'gee that's really slick', next time around you just wanna get down the business of playing your music and skip the film show. Personally, if the skin is bigger than 5kb it's a waste of time for me, my tray icons and hotkeys get me to where I wanna go everytime. Very nice, took 12 seconds to load here if there was a need to reduce the size i reckon about 1/3 of frames could have been cut from the start up animation without too much quality loss last 15% startup frames could have been removed and added to another smaller animated strip(s) for the smaller moving parts, which could help optimise the startup thers no kill switch or attrib to turn off startup animation colour themes would have been cool also to compliment the awsome alienware pcs colour variations, altho not really compatible due to the animations where's the seek bar? Awsome looking skin tho! Hawk: Considering our skins are free to the public, you don't have a whole lot of room to bitch/rant/spew. Don't like it that's great but there's no reason to be a troll especially when our artists worked their asses off on this skin. The Invasion continues. Our boldest and most dynamic Windows Media Player 10 skin to date! Alienware Invader features a 580+ frame stunning intro animati. From William Bart (graphics) to R. Peter Clark (code), they both did a great job. Yeh we get paid but not nearly enough to cover the hours that went into the making of this. Media player skins are our lowest paying projects but we still do them because we love to. And which is it Hawk? Are our skins ugly or stunning? Because you said both of those things back to back. Do you comment just to get attention? I'm in awe of all the cool skins skinsfactory puts out, theyr pieces of cool art, practical or not they look the dbs i would have perhaps added/redesigned some parts from the conversion so that the winamp version had some more of the things winamp does, but overall this is pretty cool stuff its a shame that we have to put animations into static frames and any media engine doesnt have animation sequences that we could move stuff around in 3d, altho some tasty stuff can be done with some 2d movement is there going to be an updated version at some point, regarding any bugfixes, additions? Downloading now. Can't it be hosted at devart? /edit seems nifty. Gfx, as usual per TSF amazing. Nifty animations and other options (eq fade, folding up options). Load times, etc, who cares, we all know its TSF, and that its gonna be big cause its gonna have a lot of bells and whistles. They don't make the skins to be tiny and out of sight. They are supposed to be big and in your face, that's why companies have them design them, so their brand gets noticed. Anyways Great skin, not for everyday use, as stated, but it does what it does, and it does it well. The UI Design Architects of Tomorrow.
